Day by Day
At The New York Hilton and at Honors Bridge Club
During the Eastern States Regional, May 22 - 27.

As in previous years:
Except for Memorial Day, Cavendish will be open for all our regularly scheduled afternoon duplicate games throughout the tournament.
Aces will be closed starting on Wednesday, May 22nd, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 28th.

We are very excited to be highlighting this year's Eastern States' Regional, our District's Memorial Day six-day event.
Once again all Open single session Side Games will be held at Honors and will offer you the chance to earn GOLD POINTS at the club. See below for full details.

A link to the Eastern's flier is provided here.

But first:
Tuesday evening at the Hilton is for charity and for fun.
It will be our 2nd Annual GNYBA fundraiser.

This year it is for Girls Who Code, an organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology.
There will be both stratified Open and  299er sections
The bridge should be serious and practically error free, for about a round or two. That will be due, in no small part, because there will once again be an open bar, offering complimentary drinks, starting as early as 6:30 pm. Game time is 7:00. Honors will not be holding our regularly scheduled duplicate game that evening. This will leave you with little choice but to attend and have a good time.
$35 at the door.

For questions, or to make a reservation for this event, please e-mail gnybacharitygame@gmail.com

The Regional formally begins on Wednesday the 22nd.
It will be held at both the New York Hilton and at Honors Bridge Club.
All the major two-session events will be held at the Hilton.
Honors will be hosting a Friday evening Open game and all six single session afternoon Open games. These games will carry full Side Game Regional ratings. For Gold Point purposes, these seven sessions will be grouped into two series. Gold Points, and lots of them, will be awarded to all the overall leaders in each series. Gold requires that you play twice within a series. Also, any single section top (Red) becomes Gold when you play a second time in the same series, no matter how you do that second time.

Our Inaugural two-session 99er Eastern States' Championship.
This is the premier event of the year for players with fewer than 100 Master Points.
Trophies will be awarded to the winners.
At the New York Hilton.
Thursday, May 23rd, 10:30 am and 3:00 pm.

Honors will host two Open GOLD POINT Side Game Series during the Eastern's.
Lunch and/or dinner is included in the price.
Side Game Series #1: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons at 1:00 pm
May 22nd, 23rd, and 24th....our regular $33 card fees apply.
Side Game Series #2: Friday evening, at 7:00 pm, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday afternoons at.1:00 pm.
May 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th. Regular Honors club card fees throughout.
How to earn GOLD POINTS:
In either of these series, your two best scores will count toward your overall score and to Gold. Single session awards are Red Points. They become Gold when you play a second time within a series.
Not bad for a day or two at the club.
